This year, Little White Lies has
decided to put out a book that displays a collection of stories that
their team has compiled over the past nine years. The new book, aptly
titled ‘What I Love About Movies’ dives deeper into what movies mean to the people behind the scenes who make them on a personal and cultural level.
Little White Lies,
a website from the UK, has been the place that movie buffs go to for
credible movie reviews since 2005. Not only does it give you in depth
reviews for you to read before picking which blockbuster to see each
week, it has also been a unique creative read for all movie buffs that
seek more things than what’s being hyped at the moment. Dedicating each
issue to a single film, the bi-monthly indie publication provides their
readers a way broader view and discussion to films by dissecting into
gender politics, history, technology, and more that creates a connection
between fans of the film and today’s culture.

Over the past nine years, Litte White Lies has
interviewed many and many of the Hollywood heavyweights - which makes
this book all that much more interesting. Every name mentioned on this
book is well-known in the movie industry, and definitely feeds our
curiosity about the brilliant minds behind our favorite flicks. From the
likes of Wes Anderson, the Coen Brothers, Darren Aronofsky, Helen Mirren, Park Chan-wook, Alfonso Cuarón
and more; the collected words from these respectable individuals from
the movie industry is also accompanied by beautifully written biography
and recently produced portrait from talented illustrators.
