Abenk Alter is goin' solo and he welcomes us to have a listen to his debut album.
Paved his way into Indonesia’s music scene with the band Soulvibe since many years ago, Abenk Alter is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Now debuting his first solo album titled ‘Selamat Datang’, Abenk composed, produced, illustrated, and pretty much did everything on and for this album on his own; but of course, with a little help from his friends - crediting collaborations with musicians like Widi Puradiredja from Maliq & D'Essentials and more.

Songs like ‘Pinangan’ carries the eclectic pop sound that Abenk wanted to portray with the album - which is pop with an subtle blend of '70s vibe and eclectic traditional sounds which can definitely be heard throughout the album, especially in this song, that he’d written with the memory when proposing to his now wife, the beautiful Andra Alodita.
With debut single ‘Lain Waktu’, this album is definitely one of those albums that just makes you feel good! Perfect to start this week with, no? Abenk Alter’s ‘Selamat Datang’ is out now on iTunes!
