A home to the Bugis tribe, the city of Makassar (previously known as Ujung Pandang) is the sixth largest city in Indonesia. Renowned for its main tourist attraction Fort Rotterdam, Makassar was once an important port during the Dutch colonialism. As for now, the town itself has grown into a metropolitan city with its ever-enthralling charm for history, culture and traditional food enthusiasts.
