Technology nowadays has certainly found its way into every aspect of our lives. Some might even think that our devices, although have made our lives much easier than ever before, have also made us ‘dull’.

A street-photographer from London who goes by the name Babycakes Romero, decided to make a photograph series called ‘The Death of Conversation’, which displays the lack of interaction that people have with one another these days, just by taking pictures of what he experiences around him.

The series of photographs showcases pictures of people who are in the company of others but chose to focus on their devices instead of talking to one another. Looking at these pictures can’t help but making us wonder if this is actually the reality that we live in right now. Romero himself, hopes that by seeing this photograph series, we could all set ourselves free from our addiction to our smartphones and focus more on direct and face-to-face interactions!
