"On Wednesday, we wear pink!"
When the movie ‘Mean Girls’
came out in 2004, no one would ever thought that this Tina Fey’s little
teen movie would turn into a worldwide phenomenon. With more than $129
million earned all over the world, ‘Mean Girls’ quickly followed in the
footsteps of the teen-comedy classics like ‘Clueless’ and ‘Sixteen
Candles’. For teenage girls in that period, watching ‘Mean Girls’ is
almost a rite of passage, to be able to know how to navigate, well, the
mean girls at school.
With
catch phrases from the movie that caught on even long after the movie
showed.; like ‘that’s so fetch’, ‘you can’t sit with us!’ and ‘grool’,
one would think that this huge hit of a movie deserves a sequel or a
reunion! But it never happened. Until now!

Ten years has passed since its premiere, and all the cast is reunited in a photo shoot-slash-tell all interviews for Entertainment Weekly. Tina Fey as Ms. Norbury, Lindsay Lohan as Cady Heron, Rachel McAdams as Regina George, Amanda Seyfried as Karen Smith and Lacey Chabert
as Gretchen Wieners; all took time out of their busy careers for the
reunion. Leading their respective pathway of Hollywood career success
(or lack thereof for LL), all the cast of ‘Mean Girls’ has come such a
long way since the film premiered.
From
all the reunion interview tidbits, there’s one thing we are most
curious about: where would they all be now? According to the cast, this
is what they are all up to now, 10 years later:
SEYFRIED: Karen
would manage or own a store that sells really cool dog attire, like
Swarovski dog collars and Halloween costumes for animals. She’s probably
really focused.
LOHAN: Cady’s with Oprah in Africa working at children’s schools with a family, teaching girls to be nice to each other.
CHABERT: Gretchen
is probably running the Toaster Strudel empire. She is probably married
and has, like, seven babies right now. She and Jason worked it out. She
has very big curly hair.
McADAMS: Regina is a Real Housewife. She’d have too much time on her hands, for sure. She’s probably found all her other Reginas.
Ah, this makes us want to watch the movie again!
