You Are What You Eat

It’s everyone’s biggest desire to achieve beauty - both from the inside and the outside. While what’s within is something you know better than anyone else, what’s outside is visible for everyone to see.

Just like our skin - imperfection is normal, but nobody wants to show up with facial scars during their important days. So, if you’re one of those people who suffers break out, dull skin or any other skin problems that cause low self-esteem, you're just at the right page. Because blaming the condition that requires you to walk or take public transportations may not always be wise since the problem may come from your eating habits.

Cotton Ink always believes that we are what we eat, for that reason, we should start to maintain what we consume to get a better complexion. That’s okay to skip eating chocolate for a while as long as in the end your mirror would say your name for the fairest of all. Here’s the list of what-to-buy next time you go for a grocery shopping.

1. Broccoli
Glowing skin like Beyoncé is no longer impossible, well, to get a skin perfectly like hers may take a lot of hard work, but broccoli, which contains high vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients, is here to help.

2. Carrot
Something orange is always fresh, and in this case, it’s carrot. Rich in beta-carotene, no wonder that the next time you look in the mirror you’ll see the same version of your face, only with less pimples.

3. Almond
According to Dr. Stuart, a board-certified dermatologist, “Vitamin E protects skin cells from UV light and other environmental factors that generate cell-damaging free radicals.” The good news is, your favorite almond is the best source of vitamin E.
